WINTER SOLSTICE YOGA at the Cedarburg Cultural Center with Susan Koleas
Saturday, December 21: 9:30-10:45 am
As we approach the darkest day of the year, all the extra activities of the holidays, even if joyous, can leave us feeling a little frazzled and depleted. All this, just at the time we’re called by nature to slow down and create more space for quiet, warmth and introspection. In this practice, Susan will guide you through a practice that focuses on small, repetitive movements, done in a prone position on the floor. This helps release tension in the fascial layers and build new neural pathways in the brain. Please dress in comfy layers, be sure to bring a blanket and your mat along with an eye pillow or small towel to toss across your eyes in our final resting pose. Let’s all take this small respite to honor the sacred beauty of the Solstice, ushering in the time of more light with each passing day.
Free to CCC Members / $10 for Non-Members
**All students, members and non-members must register online by 1 pm on the Friday before class.
