Cocktails & Kokedama with Brenda Greuel

Thursday, November 2:  6-8:30 pm

Come together for a night of laughs and creativity. Kokedama (Koke=moss, dama=ball") is a Japanese style of potting up plants in a ball of moss and displaying them on a dish or suspended in the air. Enjoy sipping on your favorite cocktail while experiencing this Bonsai tradition. You will learn how to pack the plant's root ball and then bind within a ball of moss, creating a living, architectural art piece to take home. You will learn proper soil preparation and individual plant care. Your first cocktail (or saki) is included in the class fee. There is an additional material fee of $25 payable to the instructor on the day of class to cover the cost of the plant, soil/clay, sheet moss, sphagnum moss and twine needed to make one moss ball.
